Although the latter tried to avoid being compared to the former, both the 19th century and posterity drew a parallel between these two serious German bachelors, pianist-composers who thought in monumental terms. Hungarian culture is a creative and cohesive force without which not only can we not survive, but neither can we live; and it is perhaps not even worth living without, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said at the funeral of Honorary President of the Hungarian Academy of Arts György Fekete at the Fiumei út cemetery in Budapest on Tuesday.
